Dear Clients of Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital:

The Staff of Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital are excited to announce that we now have a new owner and Medical Director, Dr. Jayme Motler.

Dr. Gearhart is excited by her decision to sell the practice to allow herself to slow down a little, travel and work a little less.  We feel fortunate that Dr. Motler has agreed to assume the practice operated from this facility for all of these years.  Some of you may be familiar with Dr. Motler'¬ôs name because she is also a local active veterinarian.

Dr. Motler graduated with honor from Michigan State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, and has been a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist since 2010. She has worked as both a Relief Veterinarian for various local hospitals throughout the Hudson Valley and Connecticut since 1996, and as an Associate Veterinarian for the Ulster Animal Hospital since 2004. Dr. Motler has also served as an Associate State Veterinarian for the New Jersey Racing commission since 1999, a Racing Official- Examining Veterinarian for the New York Racing Commission since 1998, and an Event Veterinarian for the Kent School Horse Trials since 2006. In addition to this, she has also owned and operated her own mobile practice, Hoof and Paw Veterinary Services, since February 2005. Dr. Motler has purchased the practice as of July 2, 2014 and intends to continue the legacy of superb veterinary care and a caring approach to the patients of our practice.

We are confident that you will continue to enjoy the same level of competency and the caring approach that you have experienced with Dr. Gearhart.  We want you to know that the entire staff is delighted to welcome Dr. Motler to serve your veterinary needs.  Dr. Gearhart will continue to work at the practice on a limited schedule of three days per week.

Thanking you in advance for your continued support of Dr. Motler, Dr. Gearhart and Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital in the coming years.

Sincerely,

Martha S. Gearhart, DVM
Jayme S. Motler, DVM
